The cabinets
of both the F1 and the F2 are constructed from 25 mm Customwood.
This ensures that the output of the rear of the Bass Driver is
much more isolated then in most speakers in this class, which
use cheap 12 or 18 mm Chipboard. Any spurious cabinet vibrations
will result in a loss of definition and sonic purity.
Several
of the world's best speakers were used as references in the design
of these speakers. We believe that the sound quality of these
speakers is superior to all the references anywhere near their
price and size. The drive units were chosen from the best available
from around the world for unrivalled speed and accuracy.
The
crossovers use superior components to other speakers. The capacitors
are imported from France. They are specially designed and manufactured
for use in high quality loudspeakers, most other speakers use
cheap general purpose electrolytic capacitors. The inductors are
wound in-house as none are available commercially which meet our
criteria. Each crossover is hard wired with quality Datalink ultra-high
speed, ultra-wide bandwidth cable, the same as that used in the
world beating Osborn Monuments and Epitomes, and weighs about
1 Kg. in the F2, less in the F1 as it is a true 2 way.
The
F2 uses the same dual voice coil mid/bass as used in the Titans,
Titan Floorstanders and the Centre Speaker, and uses a 3 way crossover.
This allows for an amazing bass response for the size of the cabinet.
The F2 is a cost effective version of the Titan. The cabinets
of the F1 and the F2 are finished in a very high quality black
vinyl veneer. and the fronts are not rounded. This results in
a considerable saving over the much more expensive timber veneer
and rounded corners used in the rest of the range. The tweeter
uses the same diaphragm as the Titan series speakers but a 0.6
Kg magnet is used instead of the 1.4 Kg magnet used in the Titans.
Very high quality capacitors are used, but the Titan series uses
the best capacitors available at considerably more expense.
These
speakers are intended for use as either rear speakers in a very
high quality Home Theatre application or as extremely high definition
speakers in a mini or shelf mounted system where a large, powerful
and detailed sound is required at a reasonable cost. The transparency
and authority in a shelf mounted system is astonishing for speakers
of this size. A quality timber or custom finish is optional
on either model, this is to special order only.
There
is also an F3 available. This is a cost effective version of the
Titan Floorstander. The same drivers and crossover as the F2 are
used in an identical sized cabinet to the Titan Floorstander.
The same internal bracing and 32 mm Customwood are used, but the
finish is the same as the F1 and F2.

The above
specifications show why both these speakers are capable of such
extraordinary transient performance for such a small speaker,
and yet reveal such intimate detail in the music. This fidelity
is possible due to the fine tolerances and light weight of the
driver voice coils.
This
minimal compromise design allows the natural life and excitement
of the original live performance to be faithfully reproduced. The
F1 and F2 are avainable in black vinyl or natural veneers (at
an extra cost).
