New Review of M-75

When Audio Aero decided to cease making their spectacular amplifiers, to concentrate on their CD range, it left me with a hole in my range, between
the stunning, and affordable Consonance range, and the truly awesome CAT, which was less affordable to the average enthusiast.
I went to the London Hi Fi Show to search for a suitable product, with the following criteria, as the Consonance and Audio Aero range achieve so easily:

- It must be awesomely good, easily better than other brands at several times the price.
- It must be affordable.
- It must have an established reputation.
- It must be not available from elsewhere in Australia.

I looked and listened to many prospects. All companies were keen for the business, but all the products failed several of the above, mainly the first one.
I chose the best of them and bought a pair, but getting them back home, found that although they was very good, it was not possible to sell it at a price
that made them value here. I had all but given up when I received an email from the Osborn selling agent in Norway, Hi Fi Guiden, who told me that if
I wanted to try something truly special, I should jump very quickly and get some StereoKnight. He could not speak highly enough of them and especially
the Enigma Pre, where he said that even if I did not want to take it further, I should not miss getting one for myself.
Arild is a very experienced person, with over 30 years in high quality audio and a fantastic shop and I have found over the years that everything he said
was true, so I have now ordered all the products on this site.
StereoKnight is a small, but rapidly growing company based in Tennessee in the US. I am now near the top of their rapidly growing list of fans.

In addition to the above. The amps look great, and very nicely built. When I first plugged the Pre/Monos in and had a listen to
tthem straight out of the box" I was pretty stunned.  Usually amps sound so tight and thin and breathless when brand new, that this was a revelation.
So much authority, so much grunt, so much detail, the vocals are fantastic, the quietness of the soundstage.  Impressive,
The sound continued to improve furhter after running in, we are really on a winner.

The Magnetic Enigma is everything Arild said it was, and the Magnetic Enigma-Silver is just stunning, easily beating other much more expensive pre amps
that were considered "Unbeatable" This large and imposing 2 box pre amp weighs a staggering 48 Kg and has power supplies that would shame a 500 watt amplifier.
