Lightning fast, articulate and very impressive and musical subwoofer, ulalising the fabulous Focal 15" Utopia driver, as used in the Focal Grand Utopia costind $250,000. Very likely the finest 15" bass driver there is. Excellent as a music subwoofer to make small speakers sound like huge ones. It is the Ultimate for Home Theater.
This is the ultimate Home Theater Subwoofer. Also superb on music reproduction, and as good as it gets from a driver of this size. However as a Home Theater Subwoofer it is unsurpassed. The bass is stunningly deep and fast. Gunshots sound like they are in the room and the impact strikes you in the chest. Your chair shakes and shudders alarmingly as the action on the scene hots up, but the bass never rumbles with the thick, unnatural sound of other, lesser subwoofers. The ease and depth of the sound makes other subwoofers sound irritating. Although this is a large bass driver, the huge motor assembly and suburb build quality easily overcomes the disadvantage of a relatively large moving mass. This driver starts and stops instantly and has stunning bass control with truly shocking transient ability. This is the subwoofer used by the designer. Nothing else quite does. The cabinet is constructed of heavily braced 32mm Customwood with a 64mm thick front. The entire cabinet is lined with a heavy felt/lead sheet/felt sandwich, making it incredibly inert.
